The mother of the late pop icon filed papers for guardianship on Monday morning and her request was approved for her to look after her grandchildren temporarily, the Associated Press reports. The papers were filed in Los Angeles Supreme Court and a hearing has been set for August 3.


Reno police say a burglary occurred at the Our Lady of the Snows School early Thursday morning and are seeking the public's help in the investigation.
